Polestar Doesn't Chicken Out on Community Involvement

Polestar recently participated in The 20th Annual Americana Junior Achievement Bowling Fundraiser, held in Richland, WA from February 27, 2016, through Monday, March 7, 2016.

For those unware, Junior Achievement is the world's largest non-profit economic education organization, reaching more than four million students in the United States each year. Founded in 1919, JA's mission is to educate and inspire young people to achieve financial literacy, become prepared for the work force, and embrace entrepreneurship in order to succeed in a global economy.

Polestar’s goal was to raise $500 and we surprassed it raising a total of $650. Our fundraising efforts came in donations of cash and office bake sale treats as well as a silent auction from our own Earl Wright’s Hand Blown Glass Art.

Our bowling team included Samee Nihill, Jessica Fuller, Bill and Patty Bailey and Kathy Miller.  The cheering squad included Jason Miller and  Tyler Fishback, Tom Rodovsky and Walt and Teresa Josephson.   A special thank you to those supporting us that night by “drinking for the kids.”

Event highlights included free beer (Thank you, Bill Bailey!), doing the chicken dance, and winning BEST LANE DECORATION!  Our lane decoration was a beautifully painted Americana style flag on wood that was made by Samee's father.   Polestar had such a great time that we plan on doing it again next year but with two teams!
