January was a very good win streak for Polestar, if we were playing hockey – a hat trick; if bowling was the game – a turkey. In the course of few days we received notice of award for three separate and very diverse contracts. The common element is that each one, in a small way, moves us a bit closer to the Big Hair Audacious Goal, or the "B-HAG" as we like to call it.
Polestar won a contract with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to develop a D4 project cost estimate for the Research Technology Laboratory (RTL) in Richland. We also won a direct contract with WRPS to continue and grow Polestar’s presence and reputation within the tank farms organization. As part of the Worleyparsons team, (WorleyParsons, Nuvia and Polestar) we were awarded a consulting framework contract with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) for the demolition of the Nuclear Power Demonstration (NPD) reactor.
