Polestar Technical Services is looking for individuals with the following qualifications to fill various positions supporting Polestar projects within the Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear complex.  The successful candidate will be based in Polestar’s Las Vegas NV office.  Experience working with DOE orders and active security clearance considered a plus. 

Administrative Assistant 3 – 10 years of experience supporting manufacturing or similar industrial organization. Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including mathematical formulas in Excel, formatting documents in Word and preparing PowerPoint presentations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Engineers (Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Fire Protection): BS degree with 3 – 10 years of related experience in the nuclear industry.  Design and/or project experience desired. PE certification a plus.     

Project Controls Engineer  – BA/BS degree in a technical field, or equivalent training and experience, and a minimum of 5 years related experience in project controls and/or cost estimating.  Must possess a thorough understanding of project controls/financial software such as Cobra, Oracle Project, Primavera Project Planner (P6), or similar software. 

Project Planning/Support Specialist – BA/BS degree or equivalent training and experience with 3 – 10 years of experience supporting nuclear operations.  Experience should include one or more of the following general areas: project and project support planning documentation; oversight of project management processes; work control documents; operations/maintenance procedures; conduct of operations; and operations assurance activities (event reporting, issues management, lessons learned, and performance measures).

Technical Consultant – BA/BS degree in a technical field with 15 years of specialized experience or 20 years of equivalent technical training and experience.  Minimum of 5 years related experience in the nuclear industry. 

Project Manager – BA/BS degree, or equivalent training, and a minimum of 15 years related project management experience.  Examples of the types of projects include oversight and direction of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for a facility or a complex of facilities; installation of integrated electrical, water, communications, and transportation systems; construction/modification of facilities that involve special testing or manufacturing equipment, deactivation or demolition of nuclear facilities.  PMP Certification desired.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Pre-employment Drug/Alcohol screening and criminal background check required.
